Proud Sponsors of The ScaleUp Fest 2025: Event Highlights
Scaling Smarter: Key Takeaways from ScaleUp Fest 2025 Founders, investors, and innovators from across Europe met at The ScaleUp Fest 2025 in Budapest...
Recently, we had the opportunity to attend the AI Forge 2025 meetup at Shiwaforce's office in Budapest. The event brought together developers, AI experts, and tech enthusiasts to explore how artificial intelligence is moving beyond experiments and becoming a practical tool in everyday development work.
Throughout the evening, we heard from speakers at the frontlines of AI innovation. They shared real-life use cases, tools, and insights on how AI is being used in fields like quantum computing, voice technology, sales automation, and even agriculture. It's exciting to see just how quickly things are evolving and how AI today makes a difference in the way we build, communicate, and solve problems.
Here’s a quick recap of what we saw, heard, and learned.
The evening began with Róbert Hideg, a Quantum Evangelist who introduced the audience to the world of quantum computing and its increasingly strong link with AI. He started with the basics: unlike classical bits, which can either be 0 or 1, qubits can exist in multiple states at the same time thanks to something called superposition. He explained entanglement, the state wherein qubits maintain their relationship even over long distances.
Róbert showed how quantum mechanics might soon change the meaning of computing power. He explained the theoretical background, current developer tools like IBM's Qiskit and Google's Cirq, and market forecasts predicting exponential growth. He underlined that the technology is experimental, but its potential will be game-changing, especially together with AI. At one point, he made us smile when he said, "If you're not at least a little bit confused about quantum mechanics, you don't understand it." It perfectly described the mystery and complexity behind the topic, but also the confusion that is inherently part of learning something revolutionary.
The topic shifted from the theoretical aspects with the presentation by Gergely Bihary from ElevenLabs on the evolution of voice technology with AI. ElevenLabs builds state-of-the-art audio AI models, including text-to-speech and speech-to-text systems in 99 languages, with voices that sound extremely human.
Gergely shared 11 practical examples of how they integrate AI at ElevenLabs, from creating SEO-optimized web content and instant translations to building internal AI agents and generating podcasts summarizing conversations in Slack. He emphasized that their AI-powered offerings did not eliminate people but, instead, helped creatives get the job done more quickly and efficiently.
Next came Krisztián Berecz, Founder and CEO of Captiwate, to explore how AI is reshaping modern sales and customer engagement. Having an extensive background in tech sales, Krisztián explained how AI can make real human connections in today's digital world-overloaded with automated messages.
Captiwate's AI system monitors the behavior of website visitors and knows the exact moment when a person demonstrates genuine interest. At that precise moment, it connects them with a live salesperson or, if no one's available, with an AI agent. That helps companies respond in real time and builds trust, boosting conversion without losing the personal touch.
Finally, Levente Simon, Co-Founder of Proofminder, showcased how their AI-driven agricultural platform delivers precision and sustainability for modern farming. With high-resolution drone imagery combined with artificial intelligence, allowing farmers to monitor fields in detail and act faster and smarter.
Levente showed how these insights help farmers reduce chemical use, save costs, and improve sustainability by targeting only the affected areas. He also spoke about real-world challenges for agricultural AI: enormous datasets, integration of hardware, and making technology accessible for everyday use in the field.
The AI Forge 2025 meetup was a great reminder that AI is no longer something of the future; it's here and now, shaping how we work, create, and solve real problems.
Big thanks to Shiwaforce for organizing such an inspiring event and creating space for meaningful conversations about the future of technology.
